Is VidYTMP4 really free?
Yes. Every tool on this website is free to use, with no account, no sign-up and no software to install. The site may show advertising in the future to cover running costs, but the tools themselves will stay free.
Do I need to create an account?
No. None of our tools require registration or a login of any kind, and we never ask for your password for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or any other platform.
Are my files uploaded to your server?
You never upload files or install anything. For the downloader tools, the URL you submit is processed by our server to fetch the public media or captions you asked for, and temporary files are removed after processing.
Which video platforms are supported?
YouTube (including Shorts and audio conversion to MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, Opus, OGG and WebM), TikTok (including no-watermark and audio-only), Instagram and Facebook public posts, and Pinterest video pins. X (Twitter) is limited because the platform restricts external access. Only public content works — private or login-only posts cannot and should not be downloaded.
What quality will my download be?
You always receive the stream the platform itself provides to our tool: for YouTube that is the standard MP4 stream, for TikTok the HD no-watermark file when the source offers one, and for Facebook HD when available. We never upscale or fake quality labels.
Is it legal to download videos?
Downloading your own content, or public content for personal offline viewing, is the intended use. Re-uploading, selling or publicly redistributing someone else's content without permission can violate copyright and the platform's terms. You are responsible for how you use downloaded files; see our Terms and DMCA pages.
How does the Transcript Generator work?
It reads the captions that already exist on the video — either uploaded by the creator or auto-generated by YouTube — and formats them with optional timestamps. You can copy the text or download it as TXT, SRT or VTT. If a video has no captions at all, there is nothing to extract and the tool will say so honestly.
A tool isn't working. What should I do?
Platforms change their systems regularly, which can break a downloader for a short time. Wait a little and try again; if it still fails, tell us via the Contact page with the tool name and the link you used, and we will investigate.
Do you store the videos I download?
No. Media is streamed to your browser during the download and temporary server files are deleted after the request completes. We do not build a library of downloaded content.
Still stuck?
Head to the Contact page and tell us which tool and what happened — we read every message.
