Editorial & Tool Accuracy Policy

Editorial & Tool Accuracy Policy

VidYTMP4's usefulness depends on one thing: whether what we publish — tool behaviour, guides and claims — matches reality. This page explains the standards we hold ourselves to, so you can judge the site for yourself.

Tools are tested before they are listed as working

Limitations are stated openly

Every major tool page describes what the tool supports and what it does not: public content only, quality limited to what the source offers, estimates rather than exact figures in calculators, captions that come from the video itself and may contain errors. We would rather lose a visitor with an honest limitation than keep one with a misleading promise.

Content standards

Corrections

Mistakes happen, and our commitment is to fix them. If you find an error — in a tool's output, in a guide, or in a claim on any page — please tell us via the Contact page and tell us which page and what is wrong. Verified errors are corrected, and where an error was significant we will adjust the affected tool's description so it does not overpromise again.

Sponsored content and advertising

VidYTMP4 does not currently publish sponsored articles or paid placements. If sponsored content is ever introduced, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored, it will never appear inside tool results, and advertisers will never be able to buy a "working" label for a tool or a favourable claim in a guide. Advertising, if added, will be visually separate from tool controls, as described in our Cookie Policy.

Why we publish this policy

Free tool websites have a poor reputation — fake buttons, invented numbers, pages that promise everything and deliver popups. This policy exists so you do not have to take our trustworthiness on faith: test the tools, read the limitations we state, and hold us to the standard written here.
